"I know one person can’t do it. I know I won’t be able to change everything, but I must try. People should not be mistreated or made to suffer for reasons that are not their fault and beyond their control. Sometimes, people need help.
Life is real: no one is going to show up with a red cape, nor is a single "good person" going to buy up a block and improve the neighborhood. The government has to step up and make things better for the people. This is what I want to be a part of—making things happen to build a government that works for everyone, for generations to come. Our priorities must be to make life more livable for the people of North Carolina." |
